Chloe gave us a home online, clarified our brand and above all made the process so easy. We received a high profile partnership request within a month of going live.
— Darren Pruslow (CTMA President)

Chloe is a very bright intelligent creative individual and I enjoyed working with her every step of the way. I expect this project to take our business to the next level.

Chloe worked tirelessly on the Friends of Mesila project which to date has been a platform of communication with those in need of our services and an excellent fundraiser...we could not be happier to have her.

Office Hours

I am in my office Monday - Wednesday, 9am - 5pm and Friday 3pm - 5pm EST (that's M-W 1pm-9pm GMT and Friday 7pm- 9pm GMT). All correspondence takes place during those office hours as I spend the rest of my time in the lab exclusively. I don’t discuss work on evenings, weekends or holidays except in certain instances and I don’t expect you to do so either. Weekends are for family and holidays are for rest!

Polices and Boundaries

Most of these are stated in my contract but I like to include them in here too, because I believe it’s important to keep our working relationship clear and simple so we can make the most of your project and avoid any bumps in the road.

How do payments work?

I accept payments in three installments to be fair to you and the service I provide. The first 50% is delivered up front to reserve your space on my calendar. The next 25% is due before any revisions and the final 25% is due upon completion of the project before materials and/or ownership of the website is handed over to you.

Overdue payments

The payments in your payment plan have due dates. You can view the due dates on your invoice and in Asana. Asana will even notify you when your payment is due. However, if you’re late with providing payment then I reserve the right to withhold project delivery until all outstanding project fees and assessed penalties are paid in full. Payments that are not received within 14 days of the original due date will incur a late fee of 3%, starting on the 14th day. A 3% late fee will apply everyday after the 14th day until payment has been made.

What if you’re unsatisfied with your product?

My designs come with sets of revisions where you review the design and request changes to be made. If you use up all your revisions and need more, that's no problem! Extra revisions are billed at my hourly rate. Because of that, I have never had a client go away with a product they didn't like.

What if the project goes on past the deadline?

As a small business owner, I’m sure you understand how important it is to keep this project on track for it’s deadline. I really appreciate your timely feedback on mockups because it helps us to stay on track! If your project does go over its deadline your final payment will still be due on the original deadline date. You can view the due date of your final payment in your calendar and on your invoice.

Helpful for Later

I consider this new relationship a partnership. We will be working together to perfect this project, and as such I'll need you in order make this work! So, at least a week before the project start date, I will need the following from you.

Timely Feedback: I cannot stress the importance of this. The clearer and more timely the feedback I get, the shorter the project time. This is usually where all the time in design projects go. If feedback is not forthcoming (i.e. is not communicated within 3 days of a request) I reserve the right to move on to the next phase of the project. To facilitate the best feedback/revision periods possible, here are some tips:

Feedback guidelines:

  • Try and use bullet points to break up your feedback.

  • Use headers to organize your feedback.

  • Read over your feedback to make sure it's clear and concrete/specific

  • Check that you've answered any questions I may have asked.

  • Post your feedback as a comment on the relevant Asana conversation instead of emailing me directly. Back and forth emails can get tiring but communicating in Asana is a breeze!

  • If you have team members that would like to add their feedback, I kindly ask that you gather the feedback into one message. This stops everyone from getting confused and keeps the project organized.
